My KABOOM Learning Experience

Starting Weight in January 2004: 315 pounds

Followed a program where I ate 6 times a day with strict guidelines on protein, carbs, veggies, fruit. Learned a lot about my body on this plan.

Weight in February 2005: 209 pounds

Total Loss for 2004: 105 pounds

The Emotional Explosion: February 2005

Began eating carbs and sugar. Swooped deeply into emotional no-man's land. Wouldn't come up for air for a very, very long time. I now have a much clearer picture of the devastation of diet mentality.

January 2006: Gained 130 pounds in 9 months.

Who are you?

A girl who has been chubby most of her life. One who loves good food and good health.

Now, I'm writing that story. I've had thin moments (I can tell you what years, how much I weighed, and how many months I maintained that weight), and fat moments (you know those stories are coming too) and even morbid obesity moments (or should we say years rather than moments?). A few years ago, I lost a bunch of weight (105 lbs) in a year and then regained it even faster (9 months). I've been stuck in a confused mud puddle ever since.

How did I get here? And how do I get out? I'm answering those questions as I write my way through losing 200 lbs. and--more importantly--then maintaining that healthy lifestyle.
